Finnriver Cider - Black Currant

A wine cider with black currant flavor

I was excited to try the Black Currant Finnriver Cider. Finnriver cider is a craft cider and fruit wine maker who produce a fine selection of fruity and floral cider and wine, including ice wine. The Black Currant Finnriver Cider is not hugely distributed in California, but I was able to get it from the El Cerrito Natural Grocery Company in the East Bay.

"It is semi-sweet with savory black currant taste. Clean flavor, you'll get a nice smooth berry finish, delicious."

"Medium body with 6.5% of alcohol content. It tasted like a very light red wine or Chardonay. It is very refreshing and elegant. Good for an elegant dinner party over a steak. I will give it a 4.4 out of 5.0.
