Everyone can make baking series for cider lovers who never really bake :))
I have been wanting to make a red velvet rose buttercream cake, but had been hesitant to make one because it sounds soo difficult to make. One day I was in instagram and found a recipe from @preppykitchen. I went to his website and watched the video tutorial. The video makes the baking process looks soo easy! So, I partnered up with my friend Cassie, and viola a red velvet cake is on the table.
Now, I am going to share my favorite red velvet flower buttercream cake from @preppykitchen with additional tips and tricks, for all cider lovers out there who have been wanting to make a beautiful red velvet rose buttercream cake like me.

PRE-BAKING PREPARATION:
For the red velvet cake you have to have:
a cake turntable stand
icing spatulas
3 x 6" round baking pan
For the rose buttercream flower you have to have:
pipping bags
mix of 120 - 127 rose petal pipping tips
cake flower nails
baking sheet
The key to completing the cake was to have all the baking tools needed. You can easily buy a Professional Cake Decorating Kit in Amazon starting at $15 that comes with a cake turntable stand, icing spatulas, pipping tips, and cake flower nails. I found the 120 - 127 rose petal pipping tip and the 6" baking pan at a JOANN and Michaels. All cake flavoring, like rose water and green tea powder, can be found at the closest baking store in your area.
"You must have the cake turntable stand and icing spatula to stack and decorate the cake. Also, a mix of 120 - 127 pipping tip and cake flower nail to make the rose buttercream flower. It worked like magic!"
TIPS & TRICKS:
The red velvet cake recipe from @preppykitchen worked perfect! It took about 6 hours to complete the cake. The cake flavor and texture was good. Some of my suggestions:
For the icing, we added more cheese cream into it so i tasted more cheesy. It is delicious! You may want to add more sugar to create a stiffer icing, so we can stack the cake. Keep your spatula at 90o degree to the cake turntable to avoid creating a slope on the cake side. Put the icing on the fridge while waiting for your cake to cool down so the cake does not slip after you stack them.
Make the red crumble outside of the cake using food grater to make the crumble more granular. It will look prettier on the cake!
When the making of the rose buttercream flower, make sure you leave butter at the room temperature before beating it with sugar to get a good balance of dough texture. The mixture has to be solid but moist and malleable enough to form the rose petal curve. Also, be careful not to drop your almost ready rose like me =P.
Add green tea leafs on top of your cake! It adds color and flavor!
Finally, put your cake in the fridge for a day to further froze the icing and enjoy your cake the next day.
"The baking material was inexpensive, the cake was supper delicious! I am impressed by the result for someone who barely bake like me."

I am going to skip writing down the baking instruction because I followed exactly the steps showed by @preppykitchen in his website.
