I was walking through the street of North Berkeley on a Thursday afternoon when I bumped into the farmer's market. Some sellers were preparing their products and I saw a booth with pretty glass jar of apple cider, the Bernie's Best Organic Apple Cider. Bernie's Best is a non-alcoholic apple cider brand. I have never tried a non-alcoholic organic apple cider, so I decided to buy a bottle try at home.
"I opened the bottle at home and was surprised by how good it was. It is way better than the apple juice we found in the grocery stores. It taste very natural. It is cloudy red-orange in color, with medium tart-sweet flavor. I the tartness of the cider makes it special. I will give it a 4.4 out of 5.0."
(2) Autumn Blend
Since my first encounter with Bernie's Best Gravenstein, I've wondered of where else I could possibly obtain this organic apple cider. I was surprised to find it displayed at the cashier of a Sightglass coffee shop in the 20th street in San Francisco. So, this time I grabbed a different flavor, Bernie's Best Autumn Blend.
"It has a chocolate cloudy color and you can see some apple pulp sediment on the bottom of the glass bottle. I can taste a sweet apple flavor with a very little tartness in it. A delicious organic apple cider option. I will give it 3.8 out of 5.0 because it taste more similar to regular apple juice."
That was my first few organic apple cider tasting. Bernie's Best has gained its name in San Francisco area, you can probably find this brand in Blue Bottle shop too. It is a healthier option than apple juice because it is naturally produced by Bernie himself at the Pomo Tierra Rach. Yums!
